BLUESTONE COAL DONATION HELPS CSBG FOOD PANTRY
Food pantries nationwide are running low on food for those in need. These stories are covered almost daily on local, regional and national media. The story is the same at the CSM food pantry at our Keystone Office site.
When this was related to the Board during our annual Retreat, Pastor Calloway, CSM newly elected Vice-President, asked for a letter stating our need. He related he had a friend that possibly could help.
A short time later, a check came to the office from Bluestone Coal Company for $200. This money has been used to help replenish our food bank.
We are very grateful to Bluestone Coal Company for their generous donation and civic responsibility. We are also very grateful to Pastor Calloway for being instrumental in CSM receiving the gift.
This is an example of how the staff and Board of Directors work as a team to meet he needs of those we serve. Ameribank is now collecting food items for CSM so our outreach may continue.

CSM STAFF HERO CINDY BLEVINS
"I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness that I can show to any fellow person, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again."
This statement by Ettiene De Grellet describes our CSM staff HERO Cindy Blevins. Cindy does not defer or neglect any act of kindness. Cindy is kind and trustworthy, the most notable attributes of a human services worker. Her goal is to care for those we serve to her utmost ability. She meets her goal on a daily basis, yet there is one more human trait Cindy has and that is compassion. She truly cares about all, neglecting none. Cindy lives in Bluefield and serves our community by helping make this a kinder world. CSM is fortunate to have Ms. Blevins as an employee. Thank you Cindy for you are a true CSM HERO.

Cindy Blevins is a CSM Community Services Assistant in the Title XIX Waiver Program.
